But that’s the colonizers. That’s the world of mortals. Which is the world of us espíritus de magia. Which is the same as your world.

Problem is, mortals simplify and muddy things. That’s not bad—sometimes you need to mess things up to make sense of them. But you need to remember what you are messing up. When you use a telescope, you can’t forget that you are looking at two things at once: a tool to help you see reality, and the reality it is.

That’s where mortals meten la pata. You created a telescope to understand all existence, but now, you’ve starting thinking your telescope is all existence.

Uh, Celia? Are you—no no no, baby, you don’t need to puzzle this out. Please. I believe in you, you got it already, that would just be excessive.
