Cami Cat Noramila Comm 1.21.2026

A color drawing of my characters Mila and Nora. The background of the image is light green. There is a thin white border all around Mila. Mila is a sizeshifter who in this drawing is at her full, giant size, and hence we only see Mila from the chest up. Meanwhile, Nora is small enough to fit in Mila's hand. Mila has long, blonde hair, light skin, and brown eyes. She wears a blue shirt with black sleeves. Mila is drawn in color, while Nora is a sketch outline. Nora has short hair, a long-sleeved shirt, a jacket clipped at their neck and worn like a cape, pants, and boots. Mila holds Nora up by their jacket, pinching the jacket between her thumb and index finger, and smiles down. Nora dangles in place, one hand raised in greeting as they wave up and smile at Mila. There are red hearts in the small empty space between Mila and Nora. The hearts also have a white border.

Noramila Sleepy Drabble, 1.14.2026

A drawing in blue/green monochrome of my characters Nora and Mila. The two characters are snuggling and asleep in bed. Both are smiling as they sleep. Nora is roughly as big as a plushie compared to Mila. They are the little spoon; Mila holds them to her chest she sleeps and Nora wraps one of their smaller arms around Mila's powerful forearm. Mila has light skin, long light hair, and a muscular build. She wears a light-colored sleeveless shirt. Nora has light skin and dark hair, except for a light-colored tuft of hair in their bangs. Nora is fat. Nora also wears a light-colored sleeveless shirt.

Last updated: 1/14/2026 Written: 1/14/2026 Long day?” asked Mila, as Nora trudged into the bed room. In front of others, Nora affected a certain blasé nonchalance. It took someone they trusted for them express ever more amounts of sincere emotions, a leftover from the mental harrowing their […]

Daily Writing Challenge, Day 12

But that’s the colonizers. That’s the world of mortals. Which is the world of us espíritus de magia. Which is the same as your world. Problem is, mortals simplify and muddy things. That’s not bad—sometimes you need to mess things up to make sense of them. But you need to remember what you are messing […]

Daily Writing Challenge, Day 11

It’s hard to say, what is real and what isn’t. See this hat? My sombrero vueltiao. For me, it’s a memory of an old friend. It’s a lot of memories, each woven and held together by the cañaflecha. I don’t suppose it means much more to you than just an old hat. And for all […]

Research Materials: “The Case of the Wayuu People of the Guajira”

A thin blue book on top of a laptop keykoard. The book has a picture of Wayuu mochilas. Text on the book cover reads "Edwin Rubio Medina" and under that, "The Case of the Wayuu People of the Guajira: Context and Strategies of Struggle against the Cerrejón"

The Case of the Wayuu People of the Guajira: Context and Strategies of Struggle against the Cerrejón by Edwin Rubio Medina Cerrejón being a mining project in a region called La Guajira Research material! I’m deep in research for setting up magic systems in Uncertain Magia. Right now I’m researching for a magic system I […]

Daily Writing Challenge, Day 10

Creation went in the Espinal family. When she and Lalo were little, their mother would go on and on about the poems their grandfather wrote. Lalo brought animals back to life in the basement of autobody shop, which Laura considered creation of a sort. And, years before becoming a lawyer, Laura created with the pen. […]

Daily Writing Challenge, Day 9

Biblioteca Casa de la Luna had an impressive collection of books, the sort that one would associate with politically powerful towns like Palaclete y Fortín or economically emergent ones like Riocanto. Consequently, it was the sort of library one would not associate with Huerto Viejo, a town so physically and culturally similar to departmental capital […]

Daily Writing Challenge, Day 8

Celia leaned against the bookstore cash register as she glanced at the cellphone in her hands. It wasn’t Celia’s—devices like it were rare in Huerto Viejo, given the Western region’s preference for magia over tech. The phone belonged to Gloriángel, who as Celia understood had stolen it from the magia investigation center when she and […]

Daily Writing Challenge, Day 7

Thanks for letting me use your bathroom,” said Tuatara. Tuatara preferred not to use bathrooms outside of her home. At home, she kept two stacks of books on a shelf next to her toilet, a leftover from when she still lived with her family and had no alone time except stolen moments locked in bathrooms. […]

Daily Writing Challenge, Day 6

Magda glanced through door of her son’s office. His mansion, nestled in the mountains that surrounded Huerto Viejo, was one of the few places she didn’t need to lean down to enter rooms. He was only a few inches shorter than her, and he’d designed the mansion with that in mind. It was a nice […]
